Books That Changed My Life... The Fallen Crest & Crew Series, By Tijan
Some books entertain. Some educate. And some hit you so hard, they completely wreck your worldview—in the best way possible.
This blog series is about the books that messed with my head (in the best way). The heavily under-rated gems, the under-the-radar reads, and the books I never saw coming but can’t stop thinking about. They’ve shifted my mindset, shaped my decisions, and, in some cases, sent me spiralling into a full-blown existential crisis (fun!).
Will they change your life too? No guarantees—but hey, at least you'll get some good book recs. Let’s dive in!
Reading Order: Mason; Fallen Crest High; Fallen Crest Family; Fallen Crest Public; Fallen Fourth Down; Fallen Crest University; Logan #SexMachine Kade; Fallen Crest Home; Fallen Crest Forever; The Boy I Grew Up With; Nate; Crew; Crew Princess; Rich Prick; Always Crew; Hockey with Benefits; Fallen Crest Christmas; Fallen Crest Nightmare; Fallen Crest Campout; A Kade Christmas; Kess; Fallen Crest Extras; The Anti-Hero; Kade.
[P.s. also read Frsico either after Anti-Hero or Kade]
Why Fallen Crest & Crew mean so much to me...
While I can’t wait to talk about all of my favourite reads, I think this series is the one I'm most excited to talk about. This is the series that made me first fall in love with the romance genre. I still vividly remember the first time I read each book. And yes, my 18-year-old self actually cried at Logan's book because he wasn't a real person... I'm not even embarrassed because I still wish he was real hahahaha.
This series was the first time I truly felt connected to fictional characters, and honestly, from then on, my soul burst open. It is now full of fictional characters who bring me joy and comfort, and it was this book series that opened me up to that.
I never fail to feel comforted by the characters in Fallen Crest and Crew. It's weird, and maybe I'm slightly insane, but whenever I read these books, it feels like catching up with an old friend—like no time has passed. The found family element of both of these series is unbelievably heartwarming. These characters fight for each other, protect each other, and, most importantly, love each other fiercely. Even in the chaos, the betrayals, and the brutal moments, there’s this unbreakable loyalty that ties them all together, and that’s what makes these books feel like home.
Threesome Fearsome (Foursome when Nate's around) & Wolf Crew...
Logan #SexMachine Kade
Logan Kade will ALWAYS be my number-one book boyfriend. Sorry, not sorry. No one has ever surpassed him, and I've read a lot of books since my first read of Fallen Crest High.
I love Mason, don't get me wrong, but Logan had my heart the second we met him. Funny, strong, unbelievably big-hearted, passionate, secretly smart, and of course, hot as hell haha. Logan's the kind of guy who will drop everything if you need him. He'll be the first through the door of the burning building to drag you out. He shows up no matter what and will make sure that no one he loves or cares for is ever left behind.
Logan might have been the ultimate flirt, but when Taylor entered his life, everything changed. She tore through his charm and bravado and saw the depth within. With Taylor, Logan didn’t have to always be on, always making jokes and making sure everyone else was okay—he could just be. Their relationship is built on laughter, honesty, and an unshakable connection. She balances his wild, chaotic energy with her own quiet strength, proving that love doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful; even the most larger-than-life personalities need someone to ground them.
Sam & Mason
Mason is stoic but has a heart of gold. His brother and Sam mean more to him than anything on this earth, and there are no lengths he won't go to protect them and all those he loves. Mason is the kind of guy who will be your anchor in a storm. He's level-headed (mostly...), tactical, and quiet in the loudest ways.
Sam is the ultimate FMC. She goes to hell and back and then back again and comes out the other side stronger. Mason helps her overcome her trauma, but ultimately, she saves herself. Her resilience, her ability to stand her ground, and her strength in the face of everything thrown at her make her one of my all-time favourite FMC's.
Sam and Mason’s love story is the definition of intense, passionate, and unbreakable. They faced everything—from family betrayals to brutal fights—yet their love never wavered. Mason is Sam’s rock, the one who shows her unwavering support while also respecting her strength. And Sam is Mason’s peace, the one who tethers him when the world tries to pull him into darkness. Their romance is a slow-burn of trust, fierce loyalty, and a love so deep it defies the odds. No matter what life throws at them, they always choose each other.
Nate
Nate is the wildcard, the one who’s always around but never quite in the thick of things like Mason and Logan. But when push comes to shove, he's there. Always. He’s the quiet backbone of their group, proving that loyalty doesn’t always have to be loud.
Nate may have always been the laid-back, easygoing member of the group, but when it came to Quincey, he was all in. Their relationship was unexpected but undeniable, proving that sometimes the best love stories come when you least expect them. Quincey challenged Nate, made him step up in ways no one else ever had, and together they built something strong. And then there’s Nova—their little girl who changed everything. She softened Nate in ways no one else could, giving him a new purpose beyond the chaos of his past. Seeing Nate become a father was one of the most heartwarming transformations in the entire series.
Wolf Crew
Then there’s Crew. Bren, Cross, Zellman, and Jordan—the group that redefined what loyalty mean. These guys (and girl) don’t just have each other’s backs; they live and breathe for their crew and each other. They fight, they bleed, and they love with a kind of intensity that makes you feel every emotion right along with them. They’re messy, dysfunctional, and sometimes downright reckless, but at the end of the day, their bond is unshakable; wolf crew for life!
And when it comes to romance? Bren and Cross’s love story is everything. Their relationship is raw, real, and built on a foundation of deep trust and understanding. Cross isn’t just Bren’s best friend and true love—he’s her safe place, her anchor when everything else is spiralling out of control. They’re both survivors in their own way, carrying wounds from the past, but instead of letting those scars break them, they find strength in each other. Their relationship isn’t about grand romantic gestures; it’s about showing up, about loyalty, about knowing that no matter what happens, they’ll always choose each other. They don’t just love—they belong to each other, and that makes their romance one of the most powerful in Tijan’s universe.
Special Mention...
There are too many incredible characters to talk about in this crazy, wonderful universe, but I want to give a special mention to two:
Heather and Channing. These two are everything. Heather is the best kind of best friend—ride or die, brutally honest, and always ready to throw hands if needed. Channing is the perfect mix of dangerous and protective, the kind of guy who will burn the world down for the people he loves. Together? Absolute power couple.
Why Tijan will always be my inspiration as a writer...
Tijan has this incredible ability to make you feel everything—love, heartbreak, rage, triumph—all in the span of a single book. Her writing is raw, unfiltered, and addictive. She creates characters that are flawed, real, and impossible not to love. But more than that, she writes connection in a way that makes you feel like you’re living inside the story, like you’re part of the chaos, the love, and the unbreakable bonds.
As a writer, I aspire to create characters who feel just as real. Characters who make people laugh, cry, and maybe even throw their books across the room in frustration (because lets face it, that's the sign of a good book haha).
Tijan’s books remind me why I love storytelling—because at the end of the day, stories have the power to change us, to shape us, and to stay with us long after we turn the last page.
To sum up...
So, thank you, Tijan. For giving me characters who feel like family. For writing stories that rip me apart and piece me back together. And of course for Logan Kade (because, honestly, he deserves another thank you). And for reminding us that sometimes, the best kind of love stories aren’t just about romance—they’re about the people who show up, stand by your side, and never let go.
If you haven’t read Fallen Crest or Crew yet... what are you waiting for? You need these books in your life. Trust me.
