Meet Natalie

Hi, I’m Natalie — a 28-year-old British romance author, book lover, hockey fan, and chronic illness girlie with a weakness for emotionally damaged fictional men.

I write romance about messy hearts, complicated love, found family, healing, and the kind of characters who feel real enough to break your heart a little.

My debut novel, Bad To Do, is the first book in my college hockey romance series, Love & Ice. It follows Noelle Roper and Logan Stone as they navigate grief, chronic pain, mental health, hockey, heartbreak, and the terrifying possibility that love might not be something bad to do after all.

My stories usually come with emotional depth, banter, angst, soft moments, characters who are trying their best even when they’re falling apart, and love interests who are a little bit damaged but absolutely gone for their person.

A Few Things About Me

Book Lover

Romance is my favourite genre, especially contemporary romance and dark romance. I love books with intensity, angst, obsession, found family, emotional depth, and characters who make questionable decisions but somehow still own my whole heart.

I also love interconnected series, morally grey love interests, dramatic declarations, and the kind of fictional men who would probably be concerning in real life but are perfect on the page.

Writer at Heart

I’ve been making up stories for as long as I can remember. Whether it was scribbling ideas in notebooks, creating fictional worlds in my head, or getting emotionally attached to characters who do not technically exist, writing has always been one of the biggest parts of who I am.

Chronic Illness Girlie

I live with chronic illness, and that experience shapes the way I write. I care deeply about creating characters who are dealing with pain, fatigue, anxiety, depression, grief, and all the invisible battles people carry quietly.

I don’t write characters who magically heal because they fall in love. I write characters who learn they don’t have to face everything alone.

Character Collector

My brain is almost always full of fictional people, future books, dramatic scenes, playlists, dialogue snippets, and entire series that started from one tiny idea and then refused to leave me alone.

The Nataverse is growing constantly, and I’m so excited to share more of it with you.

Hockey Girl

When I’m not writing or reading, there’s a good chance I’m watching hockey. I support the Milton Keynes Lightning and the Boston Bruins, and hockey has found its way into my writing in a very big way.

Apparently, once you start writing emotionally damaged hockey boys, it becomes everyone’s problem.
